Pressure Control Valve
|
The Pressure Control Valve (PCV) is used in U.S. Navy ship ColPro systems to serve two roles: (1) as a PCV, it closes in response to drops (decays) in zone pressure to limit air loss from the zone, and (2) as an OverPressure Valve (OPV), it opens to relieve air from the zone if pressure rises due to loss or failure of a mechanical exhaust system.
The PCV is completely mechanical and mounts at the zone boundary or to a duct that exhausts to atmospheric pressure.
The PCV has a nominal opening pressure of 2.0 in wg. An opening pressure of 1.5 in wg is also available.
